Maria Guillory Hedman, an established author, lawyer and educational administrator based in Sweden, received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1995; her name before her marriage was Maria Yvette Guillory. She then attended UCLA School of Law in Los Angeles, California before studying in Lille, France. After leading a law firm in Helsingborg, Sweden, Maria spent time as a communications contact for a Swedish cultural association in Baton Rouge and subsequently wrote her master’s thesis in art history at Stockholm University in Stockholm, Sweden. Continuing to edit, which had been a constant activity for her, Maria worked in the legal profession as a lawyer and the owner of her law firm Maria Hedman Law and Language, Ltd. located in Sweden. It was at this time that she founded The Nordic School for Entrepreneurship and Innovation with educational study and research offerings, including professional development courses.
