Alfred Noyes was an English author who lived in the period 1880-1958. He is best known as a short-story writer and poet, but he has worked as well on essays, novels, children’s stories and biographies. Literature and writing were always a crucial part of his life. They were so important that he preferred to arrange the publication of his first volume of poems rather than graduating from Oxford. Some of Alfred Noyes’ most popular works are "Drake: An English Epic" which poeticized life at sea, the romantic and heartbreaking story of "The Highwayman" and the three-volume work "The Torch-Bearers". B. J. Harrison started his Classic Tales Podcast back in 2007, wanting to breathe new life into classic stories. He masterfully plays with a wide array of voices and accents and has since then produced over 500 audiobooks. Now in collaboration with SAGA Egmont, his engaging narration of these famous classics is available to readers everywhere.
